Over de auteur Dr Janin Vansteenkiste Dr Janin's teenage dream was to become a flying doctor in Africa but, along the tightrope of choices and destiny, her career took shape in coaching people and their projects. She has a PhD in industrial and medical sociology (University of Leuven) and practical training in organization development and coaching (Centre for the Art of Living, Johannesburg and Centre for Social Development, Sussex). Her passion for awakening the power of human development underlies her coaching practice. www.drjanin.co.za She grew up in Belgium (Mortsel near Antwerpen), worked in Leuven, Ghent, Bloemfontein and Pretoria and for years lived in a magical cottage in Waterlandkerkje (Zeeuws Vlaanderen). In 1997 she returned to South Africa, to Port Elizabeth (now Gqeberha). The book weaves together real-life stories of her two homelands.
