She wanted to prove that despite all the events in this book, she is still a person.Maud van As (1997) is the illustrator of this book and also a dear friend of Rosemary. She has always been an artist for as long as she can remember. She met Rosemary in their first year of college and because of their close relationship and her artistic qualities, she was asked to do the illustrations for this book.
